What inspired you to enter the wedding industry?
I love weddings and the energy surrounding this special day! I started doing flowers for friends, then what started as an amazingly fun hobby, quickly turned into a business! I’ve never looked back. I just love every minute working with brides and getting to see their unique vision come to life!

If you could change one thing about the weddings and special events industry, what would it be?
The one thing I would change about the wedding and special events industry would be the pressure on the clients and their family during the wedding planning process. I know it won’t ever be fully possible to remove all the stress surrounding an event like this, but my goal is always to help every client enjoy the planning and design process, as it truly is a once in a lifetime experience that should be celebrated!

How does using Aisle Planner help you deliver the client experience you want to?
Aisle Planner has been a game changer for our planning process and client experience! It truly streamlines and organizes every piece of the wedding into a unique tool to keep things on track.

What is your favorite Aisle Planner feature?
Our team loves the timeline feature and getting everything plugged Into this perfect template!

Wedding Inspiration

If you weren't the owner and creative director at Wild Hill Flowers & Events, what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
I graduated from Kansas State with a degree in Apparel Marketing, so if I wasn’t doing flowers, I imagine that I would be doing something related to fashion. Although, I knew I never wanted to leave our hometown of Spring Hill, KS, so I would likely be working in merchandising in some fashion in Kansas City!

What are three things you never show up without on event day?
I would never show up on event day without my toolkit, snips, and apron!

What would you tell someone who is thinking about starting their own floral and event planning company?
I would tell someone thinking about starting their own floral business that it is definitely hard work, but no day is the same and it’s so rewarding seeing everything come together on the day of the wedding. It makes it all worth it!

Is there anything you are particularly excited about working on this year?
I’m so excited about all our amazing events this upcoming season and getting to work with some fun and different floral colors and textures! We also have a bit of travel with flowers coming up that I’m excited to share!
