October 28, 2018

Finally. It's here. Simple and beautiful layout design and seating tools, designed specifically for our community of wedding and event pros to better support your planning process in Aisle Planner.

It's no big surprise that an easy-to-use layout tool has remained at the top of our new feature request list for quite some time now. After all, who wouldn't want all of their event planning and design tools together in one place? That's why we are proud (and so darn excited) to officially introduce you to V1 of our Layout and Seating tool.  Below you'll find some of our favorite highlights to help you get started with our newest feature:

Setting the Stage

Creating beautiful floor plans has never been easier. Start your layout from scratch on a blank canvas or upload a floor plan from your venue to set the stage for creating your custom layout. Or, if you prefer, keep it simple and stick to simple seating - ideal for those of you who don't need to spend the time creating a layout.

Objects Of Our Affection

From tables with chairs to ceremony seating and even lighting, lounge and decor elements, our pre-populated library is filled with the most common objects you'll use on a regular basis so you don't need to create your own. Find the object of your affection and drag-and-drop into place and further customize to suit your needs. How simple is that?

The World Is Your Stage

And our layout tool is your canvas with easy-to-use drawing, alignment and placement tools helps spark creativity and makes designing a custom layout for your event easier. Add text to label your objects or note important information and add images—perfect for dropping in your logo or including more details for set up. Customize your layout with colors pulled from your event's color palette or use our redesigned color picker that includes RGB and hex codes alongside our standard color wheel to add life and detail to your designs. Keyboard shortcuts make designing the perfect layout even easier.

We're Gonna Need a Bigger Ballroom

So you've designed an amazing floor plan for your event, but will it fit? Our easy to use design tools and scale setting capabilities ensure your plan fits perfectly. Service area guides ensure there's enough room between each table for service and comfort.

Is Everyone All Seated?

Quickly and easily get everyone seated with easy drag-and-drop guest seating.  We'll automatically pull all confirmed guests (as well as those handful of guests you might still be waiting to hear back from) into your seating list, and organize each guest by group, to help make it easier to settle on who sits where. We'll also call out special guests and VIPS, such the bride and groom, bridal party and immediate family members to make seating assignments easier to navigate. Seating stats provide a quick reference to help you be sure your layout includes enough chairs for your guest count, and the option to switch to Table View provides a list view of each table and each guest seated.

Work Better Together

Our tools are designed to help make collaboration easy, and when it comes to collaborating with clients, providing them access to their layout within Aisle Planner makes it even easier to share a beautiful and visual display of their event. You can even create multiple layouts in each project to propose different layout design options, create additional versions or design multiple spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour or reception. Just as importantly, privacy and permission settings ensure that your clients aren't able to alter your designs without permission.

Download The Day

Download your event layout to PDF to share and collaborate with your team, clients and vendors or to have on hand for the event day. Adjust page size, orientation and margins to fit your printing needs. You can also download the seating list by table, and table assignments are also included in the guest list spreadsheet.
