Living Coral: Turning the Tide in 2019 with Pantone's Color of the Year
January 10, 2019

With 2019 freshly upon us, our senses are prickling with new possibilities, experiences and new life. The experts over at Pantone must have been dwelling on these same feelings when they selected Living Coral as Color of the Year. Living Coral is perfect for bringing the outside in and the inside out, no matter what type of event or season of the year. Full of life, warmth, and harmony, it represents a ‘turning of the tide’  for the new year. With plenty of versatility and application, it adds the perfect pop to makeup, artwork, table settings or florals. Uniquely playful in its own, it refuses to dominate and uplifts accompanying pigments and tones. As Pantone so aptly describes it, Living Coral is "An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge."

Diving Headfirst into the Design Studio

Each year, Pantone's much anticipated announcement of the Color of the Year is a big deal here at APHQ. So, it's no surprise that we couldn't wait to dive into dreaming up all the possibilities for this gorgeous hue. Perfect for creating mood boards and color palettes oozing with personality, we turned to Aisle Planner's Design Studio to help spark our imagination and make quick (and easy) work of the design process.

While the team here at Aisle Planner could have spent days designing perfect design boards and color combinations (yes, the Design Studio can be THAT addicting), we stopped short when we saw these beauties from our very own event designer, Francine Ribeau. We want to inspire your design process with fresh ideas for incorporating this vibrant color to bring life and beauty to any event. We couldn't wait to share these with you!

Reds, Corals & Peaches

We absolutely adore these colors together. Reds, corals, and peaches blend together in fresh and simple ways. They not only reflect the vitality of a space or design, but also bring a bit of passion and whimsy.

Living Coral & Aloe

Putting these two together brings a breezy, beach-like sense to any color scheme. These two colors offer a playful but softened quality to events inside or out.
