Introducing Non-Wedding Events and Document Templates

Introducing Non-Wedding Events and Document Templates
December 19, 2016

The day has finally come! Non-wedding events is here!

Aisle Planner is more powerful (and flexible) than ever before now that we have just released Non-Wedding Events! What does that mean? Well, now you can plan and organize any of your weddings, events or projects all in once place and on one platform. From weddings and photoshoots to corporate events and personal projects, there is no limit on what you can plan using our tools - because we know there is no limit to your creativity.

And, we've introduced Document Templates!

As we prepare for our next big release, we wanted to give you early access to what will become Proposals and Contracts so that you can prepare everything during your post-holiday-down-time.

Plus, we've made updates to our Lead Management tool to help you keep on track and up-to-date with all of those clients you are going to book! (Yes, we have been busy over here!)

Aisle Planner New Feature Non-wedding Events and Document Templates

Non-Wedding Events

Now when you log into your Aisle Planner account you'll see "Add Project" instead of "Add Wedding." When you click on "Add Project," you'll be able to select the type of project you are planning: wedding or other. When you select Wedding everything you know about Aisle Planner (templates, communication, etc.) will be the same - no change there.

When you select Other, you'll see area for a Project Name appear. Whether you are planning a corporate event, private party, photoshoot, or personal project, you can name the project whatever you'd like and that is what you'll see on your dashboard.

Aisle Planner New Feature Non-wedding Events and Document Templates

When you create a Project that is not a wedding, all references to "weddings, brides, grooms, etc." have been removed from the tools. Now your notifications, default Checklist and Budget templates, and categories are generically worded to accommodate the full range of events and projects you might be planning.

Pro Tip: Create templates for the different events you plan first so that you can attach them to your projects!
Pro Tip: Want to change the name of your wedding project from the default names? Simply click "Edit Settings" under the wedding project on your Planner Dashboard and edit the project name in the modal that pops up. You can access that same settings modal by clicking "Settings" (in the upper right hand corner) when you have clicked into a wedding.

Document Templates

As we put the final touches on Proposals and Contracts we wanted to give you the opportunity to prepare your contracts, proposals, and information sheets to start using at our next release!

To create a Document Template, click on Templates in the menu on your Planner Dashboard and then on Document Templates. From there, simply click Add New to start building out the template. You can choose the document type you are creating a template for (i.e. contract, proposal or brochure) and set the required actions (i.e. none, client signature, client signature and counter signature).

And with our next release, you'll be able to download, preview, send, and collect signatures on the templates you've created!

Updates to Lead Management

Now you can track lead source, service, project, and event type, assign planners, and track the date you last contacted the lead!

Plus, we've added additional lead statuses: followed up, consultation scheduled, cold.

As always, if you have any questions about our new features, you can find answers to your FAQ's over in our help center here. You can also reach us at customercare@aisleplanner.com
