Introducing International Currency Settings

Introducing International Currency Settings
February 15, 2016

We’re super (SUPER) excited to break down our newest feature for you today because Aisle Planner has gone global!  Our community of Aisle Planners spans around the world  (52 countries to be exact!) and we could not be more excited to have friends in the most amazing places. So today, we are proud to release new international currency settings that will allow you to choose your currency settings from 29 different options - plus, it gives us an excuse to use sayings like “it’s all about the money honey”.

Our international currency settings update allows you to set your currency defaults at the account level and also change your currency preferences for each individual wedding. This means you’re no longer stuck with the dollar symbol for things like budget sheets, invoices and payment reminders. You can use dollars for your stateside weddings and Euros for that abroad affair you’re working on with that très-chic Français bride of yours.

Read on for a breakdown of how to make that happen (you have no idea how much discipline it took for us not to say “make it rain” there):

To Change the Currency in Existing Weddings

Click on the EDIT Settings Link beneath each wedding (the link appears when you hover your cursor over the wedding profile photo on your planner dashboard) and scroll down.  Select the currency, then click done in the top right corner.

To Change the Currency Default on your Account

Click on the BUSINESS INFO link towards the top right of your planner dashboard and update your default currency preference. This won't affect existing weddings (you'll need to go through each wedding, one by one, and update your currency preference for each) but all new events you create in the system going forward will be automatically use your new default currency.

It's important to note that changing your currency preferences strictly changes the currency symbol (and related decimal updates for certain currencies) as it is shown in your event, it does not change any entered amounts or calculate any currency conversions. That’s it--a super simple way to make your weddings work for clients from all over the globe. (And, if you liked that update, stay tuned for further globetrotting features. We have more up our sleeve!)
