Vegas in the Books: A Look Back at Wedding MBA and AP|EX 2019
December 12, 2019

Vegas, baby. Vegas…

We could say this was just another run to Vegas for Wedding MBA in the books. Nearly a week of travel, setup, trade show hours, dinners, and parties. Each with literally hundreds of conversations with all of you about everything under the sun. And, because it’s Vegas, of course, there’s little sleep in between it all. The truth of it is, though, we’re gluttons for this annual pilgrimage of punishment! We know we’re part of this amazing tribe called the wedding industry. This week in Vegas is the one time each year we get to reunite for just a few days to celebrate each other and the work being done at every level to run better businesses and deliver even more amazing events.

A New Approach

We spent less time talking in the tools doing demos. Instead, we spent more time getting to know you, your businesses, and your unique needs. This allowed us to talk to more of you, and more meaningfully about all the things that matter the most to making your business as efficient as possible, and you the most effective business person you can be using Aisle Planner’s powerful marketing, sales, and project management features.

A New Opportunity

This year was even more special. We took a leap of faith to bring The Aisle Planner Experience to life, an education and networking event designed by pros, for pros. We believed there was a need to gather in education and inspiration from and for each other, and to discuss real day-to-day business pain points and opportunities in the wedding space. Our partners Ashley StorkAmber Anderson, and Renée Dalo, and the sponsors who supported us—FiftyFlowersGeneration TuxBBJ Linens, and BalloonZilla—believed in this, too. We kept it affordable, intimate, and exclusive, limiting attendance to just over one hundred tickets. We sold out more than a month before the event. The exquisite floral designs, artful balloon installations, and stunning linens brought all the feels. Every minute of every presentation was insightful, motivating, and fun.

A torrent of praise and gratitude filled the next two days on and off the floor at MBA. Before we had even left Vegas, we committed to taking AP|EX national via four events across the country. The planning has already begun and we can’t wait to share the details with you.

A Renewed Energy

For all the extra work, a few more extra long days and a few more extra late nights, we pulled out of Vegas supercharged. We will face challenges ahead. There will be significant shifts in the landscape of this industry at every level. We know this: We’re in an industry driven by change. It’s your creativity, courage, and tenacity that motivates all of us collectively to meet those challenges head on and knock them down one by one, together. Thank you for your daily inspiration and for keeping us part of this amazing family.
