Creating Change Together, With Love, For Love

Aisle Planners
June 01, 2020

Lately, I've been hard at work behind the scenes here at APHQ, so many of you might not know me. I'm the Founder and President, and I'd love to share my heart and hopefully spread a little light and hope for these times.

From the moment the idea behind this business was born, I've always believed that we, as a community, are stronger together. And I'm just as sure of that today. It's so deeply woven into the fabric of everything we do here, with you and for you.

Together, we can plan better events. Together, we can create amazing experiences for our couples and our guests. Together, we can move forward and strengthen this wedding industry that we all love and are so passionate about. Most importantly, together, we can create change and make the world a better place. It feels exponentially harder to do that right now, and do it together, when we're at our most vulnerable and feel like we're being pulled apart.

Although rewarding, my journey with Aisle Planner has not been an easy one as a minority and female tech founder. I'm Asian-American, Pacific Islander, and white. Our small team here at Aisle Planner is hispanic, African-American, American Indian, Asian, LGBTQ, Jewish, and more. Our customers are Hispanic, African-American, American Indian, Asian, LGBTQ, Jewish, and more. We serve, support, and love on each and every one of them the same. At the end of the day, race, creed, or color aren't "things" here at Aisle Planner, and we treat each other as we would want to be treated—with love and respect. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Team AP

As a business based in a diverse community, we have a responsibility to ensure that our community is heard, respected, and valued. This is especially important to us through these incredibly challenging times we're all currently facing. As always, there are things we can do better and there are things that we can do TOGETHER that will have a greater impact than going at it alone.

One of the beautiful things about our content is it's 100% community driven. We embrace this industry and showcase as many people as we can with our reach, but we cannot do that alone. Our content can only continue to grow in amazing diversity when our entire community shares it with us. So reach out and share your beautiful work, your industry experience, and your expertise with us so we can proudly share it with the world. No matter what place you feel your business is in, from the newest small business owner to the experienced veteran, you're all welcome here.

We hold to our promise to engage, to be transparent, to be real, and to always be relatable. To reach out to our community and to listen when they call. To be present and take note of the world around us. To step up when needed to make changes within but also challenge others to rise with us. Change can happen, and we can make it happen, but it comes infinitely easier, and with the greatest positive impact for all, when we promote and encourage change and diversity TOGETHER. #withloveforlove
